Moscow road traffic is constantly on the increase.
Consequently, two tunnel tubes are to be constructed for the 3rd motorway ring
using trenchless tunnelling methods. Richter Maschinenfabrik AG supplies steel
tubbings which are constructed to form complete rings, directly following the
tunnel drilling process, protected by the shield. Each steel tubbing, weighing
118,640 kg, is transported to Moscow in 8 HGVs.
